Green Homes Class

On June 27th from 10am-12pm, I will be teaching another class at the South Bay Board of Realtors in Torrance on a variety of topics concerning Green homes. I will be talking about how to lower utility costs, use environmentally friendly products, and how to live a healthier life by going green. Topics will include floors, insulation, windows, lighting, solar panels, energy conservation, green building standards and more. I will also provide local South Bay and Los Angeles resources for green products and services.
This course is a culmination of research that I have done on this topic including earning my EcoBroker designation, talking to professional green service and product providers, and attending committees and fairs on environmental and energy issues. I was asked to teach this class because of the rising interest in this field and the need for clarity beyond the marketing headlines advertising “greenness”. As energy prices rise and homes are depreciating in value, people are interested in knowing how they can save more money AND add value to their home.
